iNNOVATION LIFE LABS is a new kind of business model that transcends traditional Human-Centred Design (HCD) and User Experience (UX) practices, with a focus on empowering humans and society. While traditionally HCD UX practices have been rooted only in corporations, through the prism of humans, as “customers”, we believe it has failed in addressing the big design issues that face real humans and society.

True human-centricity must be grounded in the continuous calibration of applied research to solve the kinds of problems faced by our society at large. Borne out of a deep passion for the human user, and coupled with experience in Agile research, we use Design Thinking and proprietary methods to help organizations and groups tell and live their stories, with purpose on measurable action and positive business and societal outcomes.

Value 1: We design for diversity & inclusion

Biases follow our own societal biases and are oftentimes built into business risk models we rely on to provide basic human (civic) services. Eliminating those biases are critical to improving an equitable and improved human experience for all. The significance of remaining viable in business and complying with inevitable policies is critical.

Understanding the many levels of what it means to be diverse and inclusive is not a trend. Now a noted textbook in Design grad programs, the book, User Experience in the Age of Sustainability, is the inspiration for our offers. Written by our Founder, Kem-Laurin (2012), the book focuses on the economic, sociological and environmental movement in business to make all products including digital ones more sustainable.
